The Bellingham Sunrise Dental office is located in one of Washington States most beautiful cities. On the shores of Bellingham Bay with Mount Baker as its backdrop, Bellingham is the last major city before the Washington coastline meets the Canadian border.

The Bellingham Sunrise Dental office is about 90 miles north of Seattle, 21 miles south of the Canadian border and about 52 miles south of Vancouver, B.C. Many of our patients come from the north Puget Sound and the San Juan Islands to receive comfortable service in our high tech state of the art facility.

Dr. Ahmed
General Dentistry

Senan Ahmed, DDS, MSD

Dr. Senan Ahmed was born in Manhattan, Kansas. He received his DDS degree from Baghdad University College of Dentistry in 2003, where he graduated with High Honors. One year later he completed advanced training in general dentistry at a higher education institute in Baghdad, Iraq. Dr. Ahmed has practiced dentistry in Detroit, Michigan and Indianapolis, Indiana and while residing in Indianapolis he received his Master’s Degree in the field of Operative Dentistry from Indiana University. He served as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Indiana University School of Dentistry before moving to Washington with his family.

In pursuit of excellence, Dr. Ahmed is continuously educating himself by taking numerous hours of continuing education, lectures and hands-on courses in the latest dental advances. He is dedicated to providing outstanding dental care and exceptional dental experiences to his patients.

Dr. Ahmed is an active member of Academy of General Dentistry, American Dental Association, Academy of Operative Dentistry, Washington State Dental Association and Mount Baker Dental Society. Dr. Ahmed currently resides in Bellingham, WA with his wife Sura and his daughter Mariam. His interests include attending social and community events, traveling, photography, swimming and biking.


Dr. Kang
General Dentistry

Yun M. Kang, DDS, MA

Dr. Yun M. Kang is a family dentist with experience in many aspects of  general dentistry. His practice experience spans a diverse age range of patients from pediatric to geriatric over many years since graduation from Medical College of Virginia Dental School in 2003.

Dr. Kang was born in Seoul, Korea in 1969 and remained in Korea through his studies at Korea University as a chemical engineering major.  After he came to the US following his family in 1991, Dr. Kang continued his education attending schools in Virginia.   Dr. Kang received his Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the College of William and Mary where he also earned a Master of Arts degree in Chemistry.  Following his path of sincere interest in dentistry, he received a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree at MCV Dental School.   

After practicing dentistry in Virginia for many years, Dr. Kang, as a lover of outdoor activity such as hiking and skiing, moved to Washington State in 2011 when he joined Sunrise Dental at the Bellingham and Mt Vernon offices. Dr. Kang’s focus is to provide gentle and quality care and patients are always his first priority.
