Founded in 1880 by Norwegian immigrant Jorgen Eliason, Poulsbo, Washington has become a hotbed for immigrants from Scandinavia. It’s located on Liberty Bay in Kitsap County and remains a popular suburb of Seattle in the Kitsap area. Poulsbo Bread, one of its local products, is now available worldwide and is one of its largest exports. Sunrise Dental is excited to be a part of a city with such great history!

General Dentistry

Shioon Kim, DMD

Dr. Shioon Kim was born and grew up at South Korea. He served for the South Korean Military for 3 years. He received B.S. in Education (Biology), KongJu National Univ. South Korea in Feb. 1993. He moved to Hawaii for further study after he married his wife, Yeon mi.

He received B.S. in Biochemistry, BYU-Hawaii in 2001 and Doctor of Dental Medicine, School of Dental Medicine, Case Western Reserve Univ. in 2005. During his dental school, he researched“Human Beta Defense (Hbd-1, -2, and -3) functions against bacteria”, Case School of Dental Medicine 2002 and published it with ADA. He has five children including twins with his wife. He loves to his children and to meditate the meaning of life. He likes to play soccer, badminton, and swimming. He is eager to serve our community for betterment.

Dr. Sidhu
General Dentistry

Shane Sidhu, DDS.

Dr. Shane Sidhu started working at the Sunrise Dental in the Poulsbo location in April 2010 although he worked at other offices with in Sunrise one full year previously. Dr Sidhu graduated from our local University of Washington in June of 2006. He started working at Bright Now Dental and moved on to working for a local Native American Tribe at the Muckleshoot Health and Wellness center before coming to Sunrise Dental.

Dr. Shane Sidhu resides in downtown Seattle and is so dedicated to his job he rides the Seattle Bainbridge ferry each day opposite of the commuters going to Seattle for work. He prefers to be called Dr. Shane.
