Dr. Hwang
General Dentistry
Steve Hwang, DDS
Dr. Steve Hwang is a
native of the eastside area. He
graduated from University of Washington in 1994 with a Bachelor of Arts degree
in Economics. Dr. Hwang received his
Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry
in 1998. To further advance his education
in general dentistry, he completed a residency program from University of
Minnesota in 1999. After marrying his
wife Grace, Dr. Hwang practiced in Chicago for 3 years before moving back to
Seattle in 2002.
Dr. Hwang has been
practicing in Renton location since 2003 and makes every effort to make patient
comfort a priority. Dr. Hwang believes
in helping those in need with his profession.
He volunteered to provide free dental care through Union Gospel Dental
Clinic and Smile Mobile. His charitable
mission trips include Bangalore, India and Guaimaca, Honduras.
Dr. Hwang is a member
of ADA, WSDA and SKCDS. He enjoys traveling
and spending time with his wife and 3 boys (Nason, Joshua, and Ethan).
Dr. Kim
General Dentistry
Kee Nam Kim, DDS
Dr. Kee Nam Kim is a general dentist who covers comprehensive aspects of
dentistry including root canals, surgical extractions, dentures,
implants, and cosmetic veneers.
He grew up in Los Angeles, California. He graduated from the University
of California, Berkeley with a Bachelor’s degree in Molecular Cell
Biology. He has experience working as a computer programmer before going
to the dental school in University of Southern California (USC). After
obtaining his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, he also taught as a part
time clinical faculty at USC while practicing at private dental offices
in Los Angeles and Orange county area.
Dr. Kim and his wife moved to Washington State in 2009 and joined the
Sunrise Dental team. Dr. Kim believes in patient education as part of
the dental treatment. He does his best with each and every patient.
Dr. Yeom
Periodontist
Heyri Yeom, DDS, MS
Dr. Yeom was born in Seoul, Korea. After graduating from high school,
she began a long journey of dental education. She received her DDS from
the School of Dentistry, Seoul National University in 1993. After
graduation, Dr. Yeom continued her dental education specializing in
Periodontics at Seoul National University Dental Hospital, where she
completed a three year residency program. While she attended in
Perio-Residency Program, Dr. Yeom pursued her Master Degree in Graduate
School of Seoul National University (Periodontology). Dr. Yeom continued
her career in Samsung Medical Center and Asan Medical Center as a Perio
Fellow for three more years.
Dr. Yeom’s passions in Periodontology lead her to the US. She received
her second Perio-Residency training in Indiana University School of
Dentistry between 2002 and 2005, where she also earned Master Degree.
After this long journey, Dr. Yeom has settled down in the Seattle-
Bellevue area since 2006. Dr.Yeom enjoys her position with SunriseDental
with her highest priority is a close doctor-patient relationship. Dr.
Yeom treats all spectrums in Perio-Implant therapies including Sinus
Augmentation and extensive bone graft surgeries. She focuses on
excellence with updated technology.
Dr. Yeom has been a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology
(Board Certified Periodontist) since 2007. She is an active member of
the American Academy of Periodontology and the Academy of
Osseointegration.
