The name Walla Walla is of Indian origin and means "many waters". Both the Cayuse and Walla Walla tribes called the Walla Walla Valley home. By the 1860's, Walla Walla experienced the effects of the gold rush with commercial, banking, and manufacturing activities, making it the largest city in Washington Territory. Walla Walla became home to the first commercial bank in the northwest, the first college in the region, and has the oldest, continuous symphony west of the Mississippi River. Following the gold rush, farming became the economic force behind the community and continues as one today. Igor Elperin, DDS
Dr. Igor Elperin is a Cosmetic,
Comprehensive, Family dentist.
He grew up back
east, taking in the fast pace life style of New York, but longing for the
peacefulness of the Northwest. After receiving a bachelor’s in Biology from
Mercy College in New York, graduating with a perfect 4.0 GPA, Dr. Elperin went on
to receive his dental degree from the New York University College of Dentistry
graduating with honors in implantology and cosmetic dentistry.
Dr. Elperin’s
commitment to the profession of dentistry has earned him an impressive list of
awards, including: an award from the Academy of Osseointegration for his
achievements in implant dentistry, an award for outstanding patient care, and
in 2011 he was named as one of the Top American Dentists
Dr. Elperin is
actively involved in the American Dental Association, Washington State Dental
Association, Yakima Valley Dental Society, Academy of General Dentistry,
American Dental Education Association, American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry
and Academy of Osseointegration.
Dr. Elperin is
passionate about good patient care. He is fully trained in all aspects of
general dentistry as well as dental implants, veneers, Botox and Juvederm
injections. To him a beautiful smile is more than just healthy teeth; it is the
first thing that people see and a gateway to success and self-confidence. He is
dedicated to providing beautiful, healthy smiles for his patents.
In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife and their three-year-old
daughter. He loves all kinds of music, photography, nature, as well as
